Google Ads Releases Awesomeness!

So as "The Queen" I must be up to date on all the latest trends -

Primarily in social media realm. Therefore, I have my palace court staff personally deliver DMNews to my front gate.

In the August issue, there was an article involving Google AdWords latest release called
Spot Mixer! Google now offers the new option for creating in-stream video advertising with
"Spot Mixers" self serve video ad creation platform.

This new deal enables AdWords users to create a 15-30 second in-stream video ad using Spot Mixer's Do it yourself creation tool. Videos can be distributed on Youtube or Google's Content Network as pre, mid or post roll ads.

This will enable advertisers to get and even stronger performance from video advertising!

According to eMarketer, US spending on internet video ads is expected to reach $4.3 BILLION by 2011. It currently is the FASTEST growing segment of online display ads.

And here is the COOLEST part -

Spot Mixer's service automatically converts an advertiser's existing Adwords text ad into a tailored video ad within the Google Adwords account. Users can customize their ads with photos, videos and voiceovers. I mean seriously! How easy is that?

The Queen gives her stamp of approval on this one.

Long live the Queen.

Find Your Cause

When I consult companies on PR, I often advise them to "choose a charity" that their product, talent or brand would be able to benefit. Not only is it a fabulous way to help support a cause that you are passionate about, but it also gives your company brand awareness, recognition and even better - You get a tax write off! It's a win win all the way around.

A perfect example of the is the World Fair that I attended this Labor Day Weekend. I was on my daily walk to Starbucks with my dog Webber when I noticed the large sign promoting a street bazaar. Of course being a female and into fashion and jewelry, I had to take a quick peek :-)

It was loaded with booths mainly promoting empowerment and independence to women in third world countries. I had a chat with a few key charities who really affected me, and wanted to share their stories.

NUINTENTIONS

NuIntentions

The first booth that caught my eye was hosted by www.NuIntentions.com whose goal is to “Empower Women Worldwide.” The beautiful Peacock feather inspired neon necklace was not only hip and trendy to wear but it supported the Women in Uganda effort. The necklace I chose was handmade by “Sarah” in Kapelebyong, Uganda. The really cool thing is that you can go to the NuIntentions website and read each individual story whose design you chose.

I really LOVED this organization and can’t wait to wear my Peacock Necklace!

AFGHAN JEWELRY PROJECT

INside Afghan

The second booth I was drawn to was called Inside Afghanistan where I met with the founder of “Afghan Jewelry Project” Bonita Chamberlin. She traveled to Afghanistan and began teaching the woman how to mine for precious stones. Then it turned into a full time mission raising over 3/4 of a million dollars since 2003. Her goal is to provide a sustainable income for Afghans for the future.

The bracelet I purchased is a fabulous silver cuff with Lapis Lazuli and is awesome!

INTERNATIONAL PRINCESS PROJECT

Punjammies

So as I’m writing this, I’m wearing my adorable red Balamani Capri “Punjammies.” Punjammies are pajama bottoms handmade out of Indian Sari fabric by talented women who have been rescued from a life of forced prostitution. All the proceeds of these pajamas go towards supporting and sustaining another valuable life!

You can read more about “International Princess Project” at http://intlprincess.org/

I am so excited that I was given the opportunity to meet such amazing women at the World Fair this weekend and am truly inspired by all the charitable efforts that are being made around the world to empower women. You go girls!

Long Live the Queen!

Del Mar TweetUp

Have you been to a "Tweetup?"

Being a SD local, this past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the "Del Mar Cool as Ever Tweetup." The event included meeting some great people, networking, drinking and betting on some races! What more could one ask for?
Even better - I bet on the winning horse "Geronimo" in honor of my grandfather who passed.

So if you haven't heard of Twitter, I don't know what planet you are on - But you should sign up and start tweeting away. And if you are a avid Tweeter, than I would suggest checking out your local tweetup as they are a great way to work while having a bit of play. And I'm all about the balance!

Long live the Queen!
